We will make frequent site visits uring the construction phase to confirm that the General Contractor is providing materials and installation in accordance with the Contract Documents.
Additionally, we will be available to resolve unanticipated problems and to issue revised drawings and field sketches as required.
Phase 6: Construction
Shop Drawing Reviews
All fabricators making parts of the project off-site (i.e. in their shop) must submit drawings to HGA before beginning fabrication. We will meet with the fabricator at the site to review important and/or complicated areas of the work. Fabricators are responsible for taking accurate field measurements prior to preparing and submitting their drawings.
We will review the "shop drawings" to ensure that the fabricator has correctly interpreted the contract documents and design intent.
Certifications For Payment
We will review all invoices from the General Contractor prior to the invoice being issued to the home owner. We will review the invoices in detail to ensure that the payment request is appropriate in relation to the work that has been accomplished. If the payment request is reasonable, we will issue a Certification For Payment to the homeowner.
We will also review purchase orders for items, such as appliances and light fixtures, for which we have been involved in designing and/or selecting.
