This corner needed to be expanded to complete the Wolf’s program of adding a family room at the first floor and a bedroom suite at the second floor.

Even though the sunroom (with columns and white trim) is open to the entertainment area beyond (where there is the full story of stone) it was important to have the two parts of this space read separately on the exterior. Thus, the entertainment section is part of the two story massing facing the side street and the sunroom section is part of the one story porch massing. The use of different materials, windows types, trim and the setback from the plan of the stone wall all contribute to this effect. The use of the small windows at the second floor over the sunroom helps emphasize the south facade of the two story element.
