This is a view from the entry Stair Hall down the colonnaded Gallery. This central Gallery organizes the first floor with major public spaces to the left facing the preserve, kitchen and private spaces to the right behind the gallery wall and the remodeled Family Room at the end. The Gallery echoes the clerestory at the top of the house. Deep coffering with extensive moldings helps maintain the appropriate scale for this very large space and also suggests loft type spaces which are favorites of the Dunnes.
