Residence The existing house was very dramatic, not very practical and a stylistic anomaly. The layout was extremely awkward, with the front door at the back end of the house, first floor bedrooms facing the street, minimal exposure to the views and bedroom lofts in the dramatic peaks with dangerous ladders for access. The new front facade suggests a traditional style house with symmetrically placed windows and door. The garage wing is setback and its roof is lowered to minimize the massing of the whole house and to keep the focus on the main volume. |
